The Loudoun County Department of Economic Development has officially announced the new brand identity for Loudoun SourceLink. Virginia’s first SourceLink affiliate will now be known as LoudounSmallBiz. This move was made to strengthen the web-based resource for the county’s small business community an to drive more traffic to the website.
The Mission of Loudoun SmallBiz is to help small businesses and entrepreneurs in Loudoun County grow and succeed. It provides small business with free, easy access to the nonprofit and government resources that they need. The brand update was focused on increasing awareness of the resources available to start and grow a business in the region. After numerous discussions with its partners and small business owners, the re-branding decision was made and put into effect.
Loudoun Economic Development believes that the new name will be beneficial for a number of reasons:
LoudounSmallBiz will have direct traffic. “Loudoun” and “Small Business” are the second highest drivers of traffic to the site according to Google.
LoudounSmallBiz is a straightforward. The name explains both the concepts and intended audience who will use the site and its partners for resources.
LoudounSmallBiz aligns with other accounts. Other platforms communicating information about small business include @LoudounSmallBiz, Biz.Loudoun.Gov and @LoudounBiz
The URL for LoudounSourceLink.org will continue to redirect visitors to the new site. Loudoun SmallBiz connects a network of nonprofit resource organizations that provide business-building services for small businesses and entrepreneurs. It facilitates the linking of these resource organizations to one another and to established, emerging and start-up small businesses throughout the region.
